1. Sometimes it is appropriate to speak up and insist that your rights be upheld (Acts 16:35-39), but there are other times when it better to keep quiet and be willing to endure unjust suffering (Acts 16:22-24).
 
Our response to the truth of the word of God:  Look to the Lord for wisdom regarding when to speak up for your rights and when to remain silent and be willing to suffer unjustly.
 
2. The importance of encouraging other believers (Acts 16:40).
